June 7th- Lexi did a tap dance to "Polly put the kettle on." We video taped the entire thing. She did great. At first she was staring and smiling at dad. Another little girl had to come over and grab her hands to get her to go. After that she was step for step. She got all the poses down. The end pose she got right on cue, before all the other girls. It was so cute!“All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not WITHER, Deep roots are not reached by the frost." J.R.R.Tolkein

June 7th- We have waited forever for Lexi's dance recital. She has been doing so great in Ballet and Tap. She had worked so hard. Here I am getting her ready. We had written instructions on what to put on makeup wise and how exactly to do her hair. I am so not a make up person. I wish Jenn or Christy had been up here to help with this. Lexi turned out okay. She looked a little over done in daylight, but on stage she looked amazing.Sunday, June 12, 2011
My true calling in life
Garden District Walking Tour
Monday we went on a walking tour of the Garden District, lead by the best team of tour guides this side of the Mississippi, Christy and Google. We saw some amazing houses, I only posted a few. Nicholas Cage's House had an awesome statue outside. I loved it.
Here is his house.
A former governor of Louisiana lived here.
Someone else awesome lived here.
Yep, someone really was that awesome. Someone I totally want to be like.
An amazing house, huge and very well taken care of.

Sandra Bullock's house.
After all this we were starving. We wanted to go to the Commander's Palace, but Christy was inappropriately dressed, so we couldn't go there. Instead we went to Ms. Hyster's Barbeque place. It was REAL southern BBQ. So good. I stopped being vegetarian for this trip so I could get the full experience. One state left
Plantation Alley
June 5th-We went to Plantation Alley. Christy has some amazing pics of this that I am going to put on soon. We first went to the Oak Alley Plantation.
Inside the House about 30 seconds before the host announced no pictures were to be taken inside. Oops.
From the upstairs. How amazing to sit up on that balcony and view this each morning.Graveyards
