The Ultimate playdate

September 1, 2010 - I took a day off to spend with the girls and Lexi's friend Keira came over to spend the day with us too. I had so much I wanted to do. We started by making animal pancakes. Keira arrives after we had made them, and while we were eating them.

The girls played for a little bit while Lily took her morning nap. The aquarium opened at 11 so we left at 10:30. The girls had fun playing. Lexi was being a bit of a pill and not wanting to share at first, so two time outs later they had fun playing together.

Keira loves princesses and made up all these songs about the prince and princesses being in love and being married and being saved and kissing. It was so cute!

We got to the aquarium as it was opening. Lexi had to wear her bear backpack due to her history of running off. We tried to go bagless for a while and she ran off again, so backpack it is.

The girls loved the frog so I had to take some pictures.

After they sat on the frog they decided to pretend they were frogs and hop all over. They then would push the buttons to make frog noises and run all over screaming. Lily just loves watching them run all over.

It wasn't very crowded, but were there were people Lexi would just push them out of the way so Keira always got a front row view of things.

Lexi likes to touch the sting rays, but Keira was not about to try to touch them.

The favorite is always the penguins.

Well okay, the gift shop is actually the favorite place, but the favorite animal is the penguins.

Next we went to McDonalds. The kids got happy meals and played for a while on the toys. I was able to watch and play with Lily, who sometimes gets neglected otherwise.

Lily eating at McDonalds. She loved the few fries she was allowed to have.

We got to the Jump on it and they weren't opened yet so the girls played outside for a few minutes while we waited. They played stop and go. They also gave each other hugs.

Lexi trying to drag Lily onto the trampolines, but Lily was holding on strong. Lily preferred to sit on the side and play with all the balls the girls kept bringing over for her.

The girls got brave and were jumping off everything. There were no big kids to get too rough so they had a blast. In fact, there was no one else there. We were the only people.

A great shot of Keira. I love all that hair.

While at Jump on it the girls decided they needed to go on the merry-go-round so I let them go on a few times. It's just too bad Lily can't ride on it yet.

After the first ride the girls started playing musical ponies and switching horses mid-ride. I was cracking up. Lexi has never done that before.

We finished the day off with some icecreams at Thanksgiving point. Icecream for kids under 3 is free! We just paid for toppings.
