Lexi's first day of Preschool!

August 24th-Lexi's first day of Preschool. She was so excited. She went to the open house and met the teacher. She was able to get her own school bag filled with her homework for the first day. They had to fill out a paper about themselves and bring in their favorite teddy bear. She brought in Heart bear, her build-a-bear workshop bear. We went the day before and bought her a new outfit to wear on the first day of school. I went with her for the first hour. We did a scavenger hunt to learn about the pre-school. I have pictures of that, I will download at some point.

Adele Concert

August 21st-I am ashamed to say that I have only been to one concert in my life before this. I don't know why, they are so awesome! I went with my friend/co-worker Carrie and Donna. I went early so we could get a good spot in line and rush the stage. It was worth it.

Carrie stole my shoes! It was hot so I took off my new red converse so my feet could breath and Carrie stole them. Lucky for me she gave them back.

Carrie showing off my shoes. So not right.

The opening act was Wanda Jackson, a rockabillie singer who toured with and date Elvis. She was all right.

Then there was Adele! So amazing. Her voice is just awesome.

My camera was not focusing so I had to sneak up to the front to get a good picture.

The Demolition Derby

August 20th- So after driving to Vegas, packing up a huge storage unit in 107 degree weather, driving back to Utah, unloading all of it into a house with no air conditioning, my dad and I deserved a little fun. We went to the Spanish fork demolition derby. It was a blast.

A car rolled over in the first round. There were a few roll overs, one car caught on fire, quite a few came up on the baracade, and more then half just stopped working. It was so fun to watch.

My dad and I.

Our new house!

August 2011- Yeah! We finally got to move into our beautiful new house! It is huge compared with our super small apartment that we have been surviving in for the last 8 months. It doesn't have A/C right now, but will once we get in a part or two.

Our front room. It is covered in cards (Jer/Lexi!)

Other half of the front room

Lexi's princess room.

Reading spot in Lexi's room.

Lily's room. We are debating whether or not to move the twin bed.

The butterfly bathroom (according to Lexi, only girls can use it. No boys allowed. She has chased Jer out)

A mask from Louisiana that we hung in the bathroom.

Swim lessons

August 2011- We have been meaning to sign the girls up for swim lessons all Summer and finally we got around to it. Lily and I took a mommy/me water adaption class and Lexi took regular swim lessons. We all had so much fun. The girls really looked forward to their lessons.

Lexi with her teacher Miss Claire.

Everyone in our class loved Lily and would watch her for her reaction to things. Not even 2 and already a teacher's pet.

The girls in their swim suits. Lexi has two.

Thanks to hand me downs, Lily has 9 swim suits! I love this one!

Sleeping Lexi

August 2011- So we have a new house. We have found all sorts of fun stuff in the move. Lexi found my umbrella. She decided to sleep with it. This is what we woke up to.

Lily sometimes helps Lexi wake up.

The kids in the Highland City Parade

August 2011- We were moving into our new house (yeah!) and so Grandma was watching the kids. She was going to be in a parade for her work so she brought the kids along. They wore little hospital gowns. They were cute.

I saw Colleen and Lily coming up, but couldn't see Lexi anywhere. I wondered if she had decided not to be in the parade. Then I saw her in the undercarriage of the stroller.

I called to Lexi and she got out and chose a piece of candy for me. They were passing out candy. She chose out my favorite, fruit snacks. So cute.

Then she got back in the stroller and they strolled away.

I got to the end as they were taking off the hospital gowns. Lily didn't want her picture taken, she just wanted her mommy.

Lily and Uncle Kevin

August 2011- Uncle Kevin came over and was playing with the girls. Lily just loves to play with him.
